I just finished reading The Butterfly Strategy by Val Roskens Tews, and I’m inspired. It’s a short book, but it is mighty. And it’s as if Val wrote it with me in mind. Over the years I’ve made forays onto LinkedIn, but I flew “cold” or didn’t try to fly at all. I had ideas for content, but no overall plan and zero consistency. At least I didn’t have a plan. Now I do.

In her book, Val spells out the process for people like me. She explains why I should invest my time in cultivating a social media presence. Her “To Do” list tells me what to do and how to do it. She also explains how effective simply showing up and commenting on other people’s posts can be. By strategic reading, thoughtfully commenting, and really connecting, I can help others, I can learn a lot, and I can grow my business, too. Win/win/win.

Beyond the practical content of her book, I applaud Val’s ethics and values. I believe the techniques she shares can and will change lives. I highly recommend The Butterfly Strategy.
