Daryn’s book is outstanding! She shares a story in an empowering way that shows how words really do matter and why kindness is always the best action to take – even if someone has been hurt by harsh words and unkind actions.

The words and illustrations are exceptional! Definitely 5 stars!

I also love how it encourages children to feel safe talking with a trusted grownup about difficult emotions instead of holding everything in. It’s a wonderful reminder that they can quietly disengage from persistent unkindness without withdrawing from everyone or giving up what they love
